STIR UP YOUR GIFT, DON’’T BE AFRAID, THE LORD IS ALAWYS THERE, KEEP YOURSELF IN CHECK

I love the Lord, he always gives us what we need, when we needed it.  Today in my devotion time I just thanked God, for the gifts he has blessed me with. My marriage is a gift, my children are a gift, my family and support system are all gifts.  However, this morning I thanked him for the talents/gifts he has given me. I want to praise him with them all.   II Timothy, 1:6-7 ministered to me today to keep stirring up the gifts inside of me, pursue them, and share them with the world
II Timothy 1:6-7Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

With that being said in addition, to writing one of my passions when I was younger was interpretive reading/spoken word. I have recently one of my closets into a recording studio, it is also my prayer closet. Thanks Priscilla Shirer, it has become a holy place for me to dwell in His presence.

What can I say about  Psalm 139?
1.It fuels me with power to obey God’s word, he is an omnipresent God so whatever I do he will see. 2.This Psalm gave me the understanding that although I was born to two teenagers, that my Father in Heaven made me, and I have nothing to be ashamed of. He made me in his image so I am fearless by His Spirit.
3.This Psalm tells me to hate what is not like God, (I pray for and love all people) but those who rise up against the Standard of Holiness, I count my Enemies.
4.This Psalm last verse tells me to never think too high of myself and to always keep myself/attitude in check.  What an Amazing God, His knowledge is too wonderful for me, it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Look and Live

Good Morning, it has been a few days since I’ve blogged. The past week has been busy. I was planning for a Book Signing that was held this past Sunday. The readers/supporters that came out blew my mind. It was my third signing and tripled in size from the first.  I can’t express how happy that makes me.  In addition, I was working with the cover designer for book four, full-time job, and of course the best roles of my life is that of being a wife and a mother.
I ran a KDP promotion to celebrate Dawn and Autumn’s book signing. The promotion started with Book 1, All I’ll Ever Ask on Friday and After Church on Sunday.  For three days those books held #1 and #2 in AA Christian Fiction and Mystery/Suspense. I am humbled by every download.  With over three thousand copies download, here comes the downside, not everyone will enjoy my works and will leave heart-breaking reviews.  I read the poor reviews and sighed, but in an instant the Spirit of the Lord, comforted me and I moved on. Because the number of positive reviews and the many emails, and messenger inboxes tells me, my objective is being met. I am writing inspirational drama to cause spiritual reflection.
Today, awaken for devotion, I was inspired to read from Jesus Calling, Sarah Young. Oh how He loves me.  He gave me a great word of encouragement. I want to share it with you. (see picture below)
Today’s word was on point.  I/we cannot focus on our imperfections; we will always have areas to improve. However, we must focus on the God who created us and see ourselves as He does, formed in his image.  I am encouraged today because I will focus on the great gifts, love, and mercies He shows me every day.  I am so glad that he loves us.
Bible Study:  The Dakes Bible revealed these points today, that I will implement in my daily walk.  I hope that you find them inspirational as well. Have a Blessed Wednesday.

3 ways to look
1: Look within to be miserable Psalm 77:1 (we will always find imperfection in ourselves. Our weight our hair, may never be what we desire. This can cause low self-esteem.
2: Look around is to be distracted 73:3 (Our nation is in an uproar, there is always an invite somewhere, and so much to keep us distracted from the things that matter.
3 Look expectantly to God and be blessed. Psalm 34:5,121:1 (When we look to God we will be Blessed because He gives us perfect peace.

Look toward the hills from where our help comes from.  Our help comes from the Lord.

There is no God Like Jehovah. Seek His Face. We have hope.

There is No God Like Jehovah. Seek his face. We have hope!

With the recent events taking place in our nation, the enemy would have us to be downtrodden and feel like all hope is gone.
The enemy is a liar and a deceiver too. Our God is God, He is Jehovah and there is none like him. In my devotion this morning I read David’s Psalm 27. In it I am encouraged, because our Lord is salvation. Yes, this is a time where lament can possess our every emotion and fear for our sons no matter the race or if they are serving to protect our communities. We must remember unless the Lord watches the city, the watchman watches in vain. It is time for us to go on bended knee and pray to the God of all. It is not a time to lose hope, we must be confident, that He will provide shelter for us in the midst of storm and comfort us in time of sorrow.
I pray in agreement with every prayer warrior for the grieving families, the disturbed minds who take lives they can’t give, I pray they be delivered and set free. I pray that we as a country can turn from all wickedness, repent, and seek God’s face so that he may hear our cries, and heal our land. There is no God Like Jehovah, Fear Not, Seek His face.
We. Have. Hope.

Recommended Worship Song for the day. Judy Jacobs, No God Like Jehovah

Excerpts from Psalms 27
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
    whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
though war break out against me   (our nation)
even then I will be confident.
One thing I ask from the Lord,
    this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
    he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock.

I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
 Wait for the Lord;

    be strong and take heart
    and wait for the Lord

More than a Conqueror

 July 6, 2016

This morning my devotion reading was Romans 8 and what an encouraging word it was to me.
Key verses that stuck out to me where 31-39.  Below I highlighted what ministered to me in depth.
If you are like me, the Lord is doing a new thing in me. However, there are things that come up against me and my family.
But this word tells me no matter, I must keep the faith because God loves me and has my back, He is for me. So when false
Accusations come my why, sickness, hardship, it will detour me from what the Lord has called me to do. Because none of these can separate me from Christ’s love, God loves me too much to see doom. He sacrificed his own son, so any weapon formed against me man made or spiritual warfare cannot prosper. God is for me, He. Is. The. Almighty! So I am encouraged this morning and wanted you to be as well.

The ministry song for this morning is by Kirk Franklin, Conqueror!
Ministry Album: Songs for the storm volume 1

If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all thing.
Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who can condemn us? NO ONE.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble, hardship, persecution, famine…No Way, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who love us., Be Blessed this Wednesday! Ref. Romans 8

Why am I publishing?

It has been seven month since I published by my first Novel. Why did begin this new journey at age forty? I have always written plays, short stories, poems, and journal. However, it was dropped in my spirit in 2013 to write and publish Inspirational Fiction. As you can see it took me sometime to actual fulfill the desire and call I felt to do it.

In trying to do determine, why I should do it, how I should do it, and fund this process. I began to research, as an avid reader of indie published work, I contacted established authors for information and guidance, researched tools online and off.  In prayer I received my answer because I have been called by a Christian to spread the word of Christ to the world. Jesus spread His word through telling parables, I learned in Sunday School, parables were heavenly stories with earthly meetings.  I said yes to his will, and began working on the The Greatest Love Series, June 20th on my 41st birthday book 3 of the series was released. I am now confident, that I am walking the steps ordered by God as I continue in the ministry of publishing stories Jesus called parables.

Below are the 3 books of the series. Book 1 is All I'll Ever Ask, Book 2 After Church  Book 3 Dawn and Autumn.  I love to give the fun fact that the cover model for Dawn and Autumn is , model, actress, dancer, Leah Woods, my daughter.  All books can be purchased via Amazon or on my website www.gdwoodsbooks.com.
